Canonical is excited to announce that France Labs has joined the Charm Partner Programme. Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme helps solution providers make best use of Canonical’s universal service modeling tool, Juju; enabling instant workload deployment, integration and scaling on virtually any public or private cloud, as well as bare metal, at the click of a button. The Juju Charm Store has over 300 cloud-based applications ready for use.
“Juju Charms are a great idea to simplify the use of applications on the cloud. The strategy of Datafari, our open source enterprise search solution, is to provide tools to easily access big data lakes, and part of the simplicity is the ease of install, integration and deployment. As such, Juju is a perfect match. Not to mention the availability of the team at Canonical to help us master the charms, together with very good online documentation”, said Cédric Ulmer, CEO of France Labs.
Samuel Cozannet, who leads Business Development for Big Data at Canonical, says, “France Labs is joining our Charm Partner Programme, and bringing with them DATAFARI the only open source, scale out search engine available on the market. To our customers using Juju, this means they can now leverage any content in their Hadoop clusters and present it to their internal and external users with a dead simple interface. All of which happens completely automatically and in minutes. We’re looking forward to demoing a first integration at Strata+Hadoop in September on our booth to show how Juju and DATAFARI create value for Hadoop users.”
